Submission guidelines for the Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems

Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems (formerly known as Torpedo Technology) is a comprehensive academic journal published at home and abroad under the supervision of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited and hosted by Xi'an Precision Machinery Research Institute. It reports the latest scientific research results in the field of unmanned undersea technology at home and abroad, as well as the basic theories and application technologies in related cross-disciplinary fields, covers dual-use technologies for both civil and military purposes, and aims to promote academic exchanges, engineering practice and industry development.

1. Notes on Submission of Manuscripts

(1) All submissions to this journal are made through the website of Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems(http://sxwrxtxb.xml-journal.net/). In order to improve the acceptance rate of the manuscripts, please read the relevant contents in the Author Center on the homepage before you submit the manuscripts and revise and improve the manuscripts according to the requirements of the incoming manuscripts;

(2) New users should register as authors first (left column of the homepage), while old users can log in directly;

(3) After entering the submission system, please upload the full text of the manuscript according to the prompts.

(4) After successful submission, the manuscript will automatically enter the review and acceptance process, and the author can check the status of the manuscript online in real time according to the acceptance process in the author center on the homepage;

(5) Once the manuscript is accepted, a confirmation of copyright transfer must be signed (format downloaded from the Author Center - Copyright Transfer Confirmation or Download Center - Copyright Transfer Confirmation).

(6) The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system, the review cycle is generally 1 month, the submission process can be seen in the following submission flow chart, the specific review situation can be consulted by phone editorial board.

(7) Where the articles published in this journal, the default author of the work to the journal published at the same time will also be the work of reproduction, compilation, distribution, information network dissemination rights are granted to the editorial department of the journal, in the network publishing and to domestic and foreign databases, retrieval organizations, no longer consult the authors. After the publication of the manuscript, one copy of the current issue of the journal will be given to the first author, and the author's copyright royalties and the honorarium of the journal will be paid at once without any further payment. If the authors do not agree, please make a statement when submitting the manuscript, and the journal will deal with it appropriately.

2. Requirements for manuscripts

(1) When uploading the manuscript, please make sure to attach the certificate issued by the unit of the first author.

(2) The Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems only publishes original manuscripts, and rejects multiple submissions and plagiarism. All manuscripts will be tested by the academic literature misconduct search system and peer-reviewed by double-blind review.

(3) The submitted manuscripts should be laid out in accordance with the template of the Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems. (For the template, please refer to the Author Center - Submission Template)

(4) Manuscripts should have a prominent theme and a clear point of view; reliable data (information) and sufficient arguments (clearly explaining the process and methodology); clear hierarchy, rigorous logic and concise text (refer to the Chinese and English abstracts of Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems in the Author Center of the website). The word count of the manuscript (including charts and graphs) is generally limited to 6000-8000 words.

(5) The content of the manuscript should give a complete title in English and Chinese, the author's name (including Chinese pinyin) and unit (including secondary units), the abstract in English and Chinese, keywords (3~6), the first author's profile and the Chinese figure classification number.

(6) The abstract should highlight the innovation of this paper, point out the purpose of the study, briefly describe the process and methodology, and give the results and conclusions. The Chinese abstract should be about 300 words, and the English abstract should be not less than 200 words. For the template, please refer to the Author Centre of the website - Writing Reference - for writing requirements in the sections on Title, Abstract, Keywords, CICS, Introduction, Concluding Remarks, and References.

(7) All charts and graphs in the manuscript should be provided with Chinese and English titles, which should be as concise and accurate as possible, and the illustrations should be clear and accurately labeled with quantities and units.

(8) Punctuation, units of measurement, foreign case, italics, etc. in the manuscript should be accurate, clear, and in line with international SI standards. Among them, the physical quantity symbols of vectors, tensors and matrices shall be marked in black italics. The formulas should be numbered uniformly and the meaning of the physical quantities should be indicated when they appear for the first time.

(9) The manuscript should be accurately labelled with the references cited in order. The number of references should not be less than 10, which should be mainly journals or conference papers published in the past 5 years, and should have a certain proportion of foreign language references. The references should be listed according to the standard GB/T7714-2015, and the corresponding English information should be given in accordance with the standard listing format for Chinese references in category J. The references in category J should be listed in accordance with the standard listing format for English references. In principle, unpublished materials should not be cited. (refer to Author Centre - Writing Reference - Reference Entry Format on the website for the requirements of reference entry and examples of modification.)

(10) If the manuscript is funded by national or provincial funds, the journal will give priority to adopt it under the same conditions. Such manuscripts should be labeled with the official name and number of the project at the bottom of the first page of the manuscript.

4. Fee system

Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems superintended by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited(CSSC) and sponsored by Xi'an Precision Machinery Research Institute.The journal is not for profit,which is wholly funded by the organisers and includes various related fees such as author's remuneration,printing fees,publication and distribution fees. Authors do not have to pay any fees for publishing their papers in Journal of Unmanned Undersea Systems,including the submission fees,editorial processing charges,article processing charges (APC) ,page charges and colour charges. The editorial board will pay the authors for their manuscripts and the reviewers for their reviews.
