2016, 24(4): 241-248. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.04.001
Abstract:
In view of the problems in traditional torpedo overall design, such as the high design & development cost, the low reliability and the low reuse rate of mature technology, a rapid torpedo overall design method based on modularization is proposed through getting the inspiration from development process and specifications of DM2A4 and MK54 torpedoes, and analyzing the strategies of torpedo modular design with respect to engineering practice. The design flow and the key technologies are discussed in detail. This design method is on the basis of construction of a resource management platform, and manages effectively the design resources of mature types. According to operational requirements, specifications are searched to determine the most optimal similar type on the design resource management platform, then to modify the different modules and form the overall technical scheme of a torpedo. The method can reduce the cost effectively by achieving the maximum reuse of design resource of mature type.

2016, 24(4): 248-254. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.04.002
Abstract:
Accelerated aging test for a certain type of torpedo stern shaft seal was conducted at different high temperature to measure its break elongation rate, residual compression deformation, internal and external diameter residual deformations, and air tightness. The dynamic attenuation equation and the Arrhenius formula were employed to describe the accelerated aging test, and the extrapolation method was adopted to estimate the storage life of the seal. The results show that: 1) the storage life of the seal is 22.55 and 21.69 years if the requirements of break elongation rate and residual compression deformation are met, respectively; 2) the storage life is 5.17 and 9.68 years if the requirements of the internal and external diameter residual deformations of the sealing cup are met; 3) the internal diameter residual deformation of the sealing cup is the key factor influencing sealing cup life; and 4) the storage life prediction of the torpedo stern shaft seal is 5.17 years, meeting the designed value.

2016, 24(4): 267-271. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.03.005
Abstract:
To consider the influences of internal ambient temperature, current and other factors on the measurement accuracy of an autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV) depth sensor, a compact type depth measurement model is estab-lished by means of the wavelet neural network based multi-sensor information fusion technology. This model fuses the sample information of temperature, current and depth sensors. The gradient based learning algorithm is adopted to solve the model. Experimental results show that the measurement error of the depth sensor is significantly reduced after wavelet neural network based information fusion, and the influences of the disturbing factors, such as internal ambient temperature and current, on the depth sensor are eliminated. It is concluded that wavelet neural network can be used in the information fusion of AUV depth sensor to effectively improve the performance of the depth sensor.

2016, 24(4): 271-277. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.04.006
Abstract:
At present, data analysis systems usually use folder to store test data, but this manner is insufficient for data management and spends more time in data acquisition, analysis and access. Therefore, a data management software for torpedo power test is developed based on LabVIEW and Access to improve information interaction among modules in the acquisition and analysis software. In Access a database model and the relationship among datasheets are designed, and in LabVIEW database maintenance tool and interface program between database and function modules are developed. Thus query, modification, deletion, and data input/output operations on datasheets are implemented with higher efficiency.

WANG Xin-ping, DANG Jian-jun, LIU Cheng-yong
2016, 24(4): 277-283. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.04.007
Abstract:
A new parameter design of counter-rotating turbine engine for an underwater vehicle is presented. The structure characteristics of counter-rotating turbine are analyzed to derive mathematical expressions of effective output torque for the first-stage and the second-stage turbines. Three working modes with different velocities are designed for an underwater vehicle. The nozzles and the first-stage turbine are designed based on the medium velocity mode, while the second-stage turbine is designed based on the highest velocity mode. Furthermore, a model of counter-rotating turbine engine is built to simulate the flow fields for the three working conditions. Comparison between the theoretical calculation results and the simulation results indicates that substitution of the counter-rotating turbine for the conventional turbine can reduce the residual velocity loss and improve the efficiency of the turbine engine, suggesting the correctness and feasibility of the proposed method.

2016, 24(4): 283-289. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.04.008
Abstract:
For torpedo power test, because of complex structure, multiple key parameters and long testing time of the tested object, the analysis of test data demands stricter environment condition. In order to effectively eliminate the disadvantages of general analysis software in dealing with the multi-channel data, a torpedo power test data processing system is compiled, which takes the balance between development cost and efficiency into account. Considering the characteristics of power section test, MATLAB hybrid programming technology is adopted to develop double coordinates and normalized display function in LabVIEW, thus the read effect of multi-channel data is significantly improved. Finally, the system performance is tested by actual test data, and the result shows that the system meets the design and engineering requirements with effectiveness and stability.

2016, 24(4): 314-320. doi: 10.11993/j.issn.1673-1948.2016.04.0014
Abstract:
A reasonable tube opening scheme for an underwater vehicle launcher is designed to enhance the  emission efficiency. The multi-to-multi interface technology is adopted to solve the simulation difficulty of gapless slipping between walls with holes, and a simulation model is built to couple the unsteady flow field, piston and vehicle movement. According to the given initial condition, the internal trajectory simulation of energy storage tube with different area and shape of the hole is accomplished by secondary development in software Fluent, and the obtained flow fields and the movement curve are analyzed. The results show that the area of hole has significant effect on the out-tube efficiency, while the effect of hole shape can be ignored. The out-tube efficiency decreases exponentially with the decrease of the hole area. The reliability of the underwater vehicle launcher simulation based on multi-to-multi interface technology is proved. This study may provide a reference for the design of underwater vehicle launcher with ejection mode.
