An Assessment Method of Sea Trial Reliability for Torpedo in Commission

  • The existing assessment of torpedo working reliability in sea trial is not accurate because of insufficient sample, an assessment method by combing the sea trial data of different batches of torpedoes with different service life is presented through analyzing annual torpedo sea trial data. Through the population inspection, the sample size is ra-tionally expanded, and the information for reliability assessment is increased. Thus, the precision of reliability assess-ment is improved. The example shows that the proposed method is convenient for engineering application.
