An Idea about Shaped Charge Warhead with Combined Charge Liner for Torpedo

  • To increase the power of torpedo warhead, an idea about shaped charge warhead with combined charge liner is proposed. The structure of warhead is designed, its working mechanism is analyzed, and numerical simulation is per-formed with the finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA to obtain the stress field distribution in the monolayer target, which is penetrated by the warhead. Simulation result shows that the warhead with combined charge liner can provide movement space by making use of former shaped charge jet for latter explosively formed projectile (EFP), which leads to higher destructive effect to target than a normal warhead does.
