Investigation on Working Performance of Water-jet Gas Turbine Using Solid Propellant

  • The working principle and heat-to-power conversion of a water-jet gas turbine using solid propellant was in-vestigated, the cavitation performance of the axial pump was analyzed, and the turbine′s heat-to-power conversion effi-ciency and propulsive efficiency were calculated. The results show that the anti-cavitation performance of the axial pump at high rotary speed is better than that of the conventional screw propeller, and matched operation of the gas tur-bine and the axial pump can be implemented by reasonable design of the working parameters of gas turbine.
