Research on Impact Characteristics of High Speed Vertical Water Entry of an Axisymmetric Body

  • Water entry of an axisymmetric body affects its trajectory, and causes dynamic response of the shell structure and internal components. In this paper, the numerical simulation technology in the large commercial software MSC.dytran is used to simulate the most dangerous vertical water entry of a disk-ogive head axisymmetric body . Hence, the impact and trajectory characteristics and the track of a vertical water entry are achieved. In addition, the early supercavitation phenomenon is simply reviewed. This study may contribute to the design of an axisymmetric body′s head shell for enhancing its resistance of impact, the design of water entry trajectory, and the location of the axisymmetric body.
