Power Calculation of Gas Turbine Based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) Method for Torpedo

  • Power calculation of gas turbine is commonly conducted using one-dimensional analytical method and empirical formula, where the loss in flow part is ignored, and further optimization of performance parameter of the turbine is difficult. We numerically simulated the three-dimensional flow field of a gas turbine for torpedo by using computational fluid dynamics(CFD) method, and analyzed and post-processed the simulation results. The total torque values of the impeller and blade of the turbine were therefore obtained, and the output power of the turbine shaft was deduced. Our results could be used for analyzing internal loss and optimizing performance parameters for the turbine.
