A Signal Detection Algorithm Based on Fourth-order Cumulant

  • Aiming at the detection of the symmetric distributed non-Gaussian and CW signals in additive Gaussian noise, this paper proposes a detection algorithm which taking the absolute value of zeroth lag of the fourth-order cumulant from the matched filter (MF) output as a testing statistical data,derives the expressions of detection probability and false alarm probability,and introduces the test property of the algorithm.Theoretical analysis and simulation results confirm that the proposed algorithm performs better than the matched filter under Gaussian colored noise.
