Influence of Supporting Vehicle Drift on Passive Acoustic Homing Torpedo Attacking Fixed Target Test and Correction Method

  • The attacking fixed target test of a passive acoustic homing torpedo is important for assessing whether its passive acoustic homing range satisfies the general requirement of design. The passive acoustic homing distance for a torpedo to capture target is related to the performance of the homing system and the test situation. In this paper, the receiving beam configuration of the passive acoustic homing torpedo, the test route of attacking a fixed target and the supporting vehicle drift are analyzed, an influencing model of supporting vehicle drift on capturing target distance of the passive acoustic homing torpedo is established, and a drift correction method is proposed. A practical example verifies the effectiveness of this method.
