Attacking Course Analysis of Wake Homing Torpedo toward a Vessel in Elusive Maneuver Condition

  • To enhance the probability of successful interception of a vessel using a suspended depth charge to attack a wake homing torpedo, three states of a wake homing torpedo entering the wake of the vessel under elusive maneuver are analyzed, and the judgment and resolving methods of firing lead angle of the torpedo entering the vessel wake are proposed. The methods can be used to calculate the range of potential attacking course of a wake homing torpedo, so as to provide a reference for anti-torpedo operation.
